On behalf of all the Membership Committee, we want to thank our New Temple members who came and hosted at the April 1st Oneg Shabbat. It was a great way for all Beth Shalom to meet one another, new and not-so-new alike, and it seemed that everyone was enjoying themselves. We also plan to hold a New Member Oneg each Spring and are already working on the next one for 2006. Also in the works is a late summer Open House to coincide with the Religious School's Open House to give prospective members a chance to visit the Temple, meet the rabbi, find out about the religious school and meet our friendly, energetic membership committee members. One more thing -- anyone wishing to join the Membership committee, please call Rudina Richter, Membership Chairman, at (813) 690-1436 or drgfi@aol.com . For fees, click here.

B'ruchim Habaim
Welcome to Congregation Beth Shalom of Brandon. We are delighted that you are interested in our congregation. We are a
Reform temple that welcomes
people of all ages to be active and vital in our congregation. As a young and growing temple, we value all our members and the diversity each one brings. We are small enough to know names and faces and large enough to provide a variety of religious, educational, and social events. We strive to foster Jewish values and ideals through worship and celebration, along with educational and social opportunities for all our members. We have great pride in how our temple has grown since its creation in 1990. Our members are the columns on which our temple now stands. We value our members and aspire to continue to grow as a warm and welcoming community, dedicated to the values, ideals and practice of Judaism. Our congregants represent people of all ages and life stages who are united by their desire for a Jewish environment where they can where they can practice their Judaism in a comfortable, encouraging atmosphere. Famillies with children are an integral part of our synagogue and our religious school caters to school-age children through confirmation class with special attention on Bar/Bat Mitzvah studies. Youth Group, Sisterhood, Men's Club provide social activities for many of our members, combined with service to the Temple. Our Chavurah groups provide a way for new members to make new friends and meet new people. There is always something going on and we encourage all new members to become involved in one of our many committees, including education, fundraising, membership, oneg, and the ritual committee. We would love for you to be a part of our temple and its future.
