Shabbat

Shabbat is the highlight of the Jewish week, an opportunity to connect with family, friends and community. Tranquility and reflection are combined with learning, joy, spirited singing and prayer for a day that restores and renews.

Erev Shabbat services are every Friday night at 7:45, with the exception of a handful of services throughout the year. Services are warm and friendly, beginning with an opportunity to meet those who are sitting around you.   We welcome children of all ages and our B’nai Mitzvah students often participate in services.

Occasionally we have family services at an earlier hour to meet the needs of our younger children and we have special services for preschool families as well.

The beautiful voices of our adult choir, Kolot Shalom  enhance our services several times a year.

Our Friday evening services are followed by an Oneg Shabbat, providing the opportunity to enjoy the company of others along with a nosh.

Shabbat Morning services are held only on Saturday mornings in conjunction with a scheduled b'nei mitzvah or other life cycle event.

A number of times per year, we host a Shabbat Dinner, to enhance an already special evening.  Catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, creating and fostering fellowship with congregants - Shabbat Dinner is a wonderful opportunity to experience the warmth of our spiritual home.
